Professional Experience

Leann is an experienced lawyer specialised in matrimonial disputes. She has many trials under her belt and with her no-nonsense approach, is appreciated by her clients. While at the start of her career with the firm she assisted in various contentious matters in the Family Court, High Court and the Court of Appeal, now she mainly works as the lead lawyer for these same matrimonial cases.

She also assists in training our junior lawyers by taking them along in more complicated matters and where she needs additional support. Thus, forming the crucial link between the senior partners and the younger lawyers of the firm.

Leann has been engaged in divorce proceedings where the divorce, division of assets, children issues and maintenance has been contested. She also represented clients in maintenance summons trials and trials involving family violence. She has also attended numerous Pre-Trial Conferences, court mentions, and mediation sessions and has acted for parties in various interlocutory applications.

Leann’s matrimonial law practice extends to advising clients on out of court settlements as well as preparing Deeds of Separation, Deeds of Settlement and Pre/Post-Nuptial Agreements.

In her free time, Leann actively volunteers at a community legal clinic where she gives advice to constituents who are unable to afford a lawyer.

Education

Leann graduated in 2011 from the Singapore Management University with an LL.B (Hons.) and was admitted to the Singapore bar in 2012.
